INTERESTED? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
1. Call to set an appointment for an estimate. If you have house or cabinet plans you can come to us, or if not we can arrange to come to your new or existing home to take measurements.
2. Stone Selection: We have a selection of 12x12 tiles and small sections of slabs at our showroom and slabs in stock, but we also have several granite suppliers open to our customers by appointment if you would prefer to select your own slabs. Check out our products page for online links to granite and quartz suppliers to see their color selections.
3. Scheduling an Order: Unfortunately, we can not schedule your order until we have a signed contract and a 50% deposit. We can estimate an installation date, but we can not give a firm date until we have a contract and a deposit. We install a minimum of 20 kitchens per week and our available installation dates go quickly.
4. Templates: Depending on whether your countertops are being installed in an existing house with existing cabinets, new construction or a remodel with new cabinets, a date will be scheduled to make a template of your cabinets. The cabinets must be completely set in the house. We can not template cabinets until they are permanently installed.
Also, the countertops must be removed to template. We can provide this service for you.
5. FABRICATION: A few days before your job is scheduled to be installed, we will have your stone delivered to our fabrication shop. Whenever possible we will do our best to avoid discolorations that are natural to the granite, but variations in color and pattern are natural hallmarks of stone in general. If you wish to inspect the stone before fabrication please let us know when you sign your contract. During fabrication the templates made of your cabinets will be used as a guide to cut the granite into individual pieces. Customers have the option of laying their templates out on the slabs on the morning of the scheduled cutting of the slabs. Appointments need to be made to layout templates. After the individual pieces have been routed and polished, they will be ready for installation.
6. Installation:
On the 3rd day your granite is fabricated. The day after your job has been fabricated, our install crew will load your tops, sinks, faucets and cook-top specs and come to your home. Once the tops are in place on your cabinets, we will then level the granite on your cabinets, color match and glue your seams (if any), silicone your tops to keep them in place, caulk all gaps between your tops and cabinets, install your sinks, backsplash cut to fit (if purchased), cut out cook-top and drill faucet holes. This process is time consuming and messy. The crew have been instructed to do a general cleaning before they leave. It is impossible to do the install without some mess and we suggest removing items out of your cabinets before installation. We try our best to meet our daily schedule but every home is unique and sometimes we run into unusual situations that delay our crew. We try very hard to never leave your home until the job is complete. Final payment is due at installation. If you have questions or concerns regarding your installation, please contact your sales person.
Communications is Key...
During the entire process communication is the most important aspect of the process. Please communicate your questions and/or concerns. There are no stupid questions and we would much rather answer any and all questions you have than take the chance that you are not 100% satisfied with the end product.
